Description
Long Range Shooting Simulation III

Nothing else like it ...

The popular long-range shooting, range estimation, and training simulation has been completely updated.

With even more realistic controls, wind conditions and scenery, make this a training simulation as close as you can get to field practice... all without wasting a single round of ammunition.

Six calibers and 32 new ranges to chose from:

.223
Black Hills .224 diameter
223 Remington
77 grain Sierra HPBT

.264
Sierra 264 diameter
142 grain (6.5 mm)

300 Win Mag
.308 diameter Winchester Magnum
180 grain Power Point

.308
Sierra .308 diameter
175 grain HPBT Match King

.338
Black Hills .338 diameter
338 Lapua 250 grain
Sierra HPBT

50 Cal
Hornady .510 diameter
750 grain AMAX

First and Second focal plane zoom
  • 10X fixed power, 20X second focal plane (custom reticle, the target enlarges but the reticle does not),
  • 20X first focal plane (target and reticle enlarges)

Mil or MOA Ranging on Four Target Sizes:

Practice MIL or MOA ranging on four target sizes. A 12" X 12" swinging plate, a 30" X 18" knock-down plate, 48" X 48" steel knock-down plate and a regulation 72" X 19" knock-down plate. All new practice ranges include uphill/downhill practice, temperature variations over the course of a day, and differential wind challenges.

Add in different atmospheric extremes and you get over 300 different ranging scenarios.

Not a game:

This a long range training simulation and not a game.
The result of each shot is exactly calculated to show where the bullet hits on the target. This Long Range Shooting Simulation graphically displays how wind, altitude, and temperature affect the bullet in flight. The results for distance are given in both meters and yards.

Interactive Classrooms:

Every serious shooter should understand minute of angle and exterior ballistics. Learn how to use the reticle to estimate range, adjust for wind, how to use a range card and engage moving targets in Classroom modules. These subjects and more are also explained with interactive tests.

Long Range Shooting Simulation Demo

Try out one range from The Long Range Shooting Simulation version III. This range uses the .308 175 grain bullet. The full version has six calibers and 32 different ranges with over 300 stages. A basic understanding of estimating ranges using a mil or moa reticle (view the ranging classroom sample from the full version), using a range card to set elevation and windage is necessary to use the simulation.

This simulation software works on Windows and Macs OSX.

The Long Range Shooting Simulation was tested and recommended by the members of the National Tactical Officers Association with an overall score of 4.53 out of a possible 5.
