The SPEC-REST SF system allows the shooter to greatly extend the range of precise shots in
various shooting positions, especially when rapid target acquisition and lock is critical.
The ability to completely stabilize the weight of the rifle at any position greatly reduces
the shooters fatigue during long stand offs.
The SPEC-REST SF system is a high-grade, modular, American-Made shooting platform that tilts and pans.
The innovative design of the SPEC-REST SF system allows you to drag your sights onto a target
through coarse rapid adjustments and simultaneously transition to micro-elevation adjustment.

The SPEC-REST SF system is designed to accommodate all shooters in any shooting style from
"Ground Zero to Standing" with precision repeatability. Our field tests have showed near perfect
repeatability from various shooting positions.
Precision loss from prone to sitting position was minimal when the Quad Base was used.
The Tripod Platform also performed extremely well in kneeling and standing positions.
The SPEC-REST SF system is designed to handle virtually any bolt action or semi-auto rifle,
from a small caliber with thin stock profile to larger caliber with heavy and wide profiles.
Each SPEC-REST SF system is CNC precision-machined using Aircraft quality Aluminum Alloy, Steel, and Stainless Steel.
All units are Custom Powder Coated for durability and manufactured 100% in the United States.
The top arm is fully modular and it is designed to break a part for ease
of portability and entry into tight places. This is a superior quality platform that delivers highly precise results.
Components ...
The top arm which includes the
Pivoting Arm Assembly
Micro Adjustment Elevator Knob
Friction Knob
V-Mounts; and
The mounting platform for the top arm with the following available options:
Low-profile “Quad Base” - suitable for prone, sitting and kneeling positions or shooting from the bench. The height
of the rifle can be as low as 10” and as high as 27", depending on stock and use of leg extensions.
Standing-height “Tripod Base” - suitable for kneeling and standing positions.
Configurations ...
Configurations available for the SPEC-REST SF system are as follows:
LE Model: Comes complete with all accessories required for any type of tactical configuration and accommodating virtually any firearm. Included in this model are a tactical bag for transport and rapid deployment; the tripod and quad rest platforms; the top arm rest; and all required equipment to support everything from a long stand-off situation to rapid tracking of moving targets.
Quad Model: Includes the quad rest platform and the top arm rest.
Tripod Model: Includes the tripod platform and the top arm rest.
The SPEC-REST SF system design allows the transfer of the arm from one mounting platform to another with ease.
This permits the agencies the flexibility to purchase only the options needed to fit their requirements.
The SPEC-REST SF system is very sturdy yet relatively lightweight.
Positioned on a tripod, the system swivels 360° and allows a wide range of elevation.
The set-up will hold nearly any rifle with its front and rear V-Mounts.
Statistics from various security agencies have indicated that when a gun is firmly mounted,
the system will absorb up to 60% of felt recoil. The SPEC-REST SF can be deployed or changed from a Tripod Base
to a low profile Quad Base in under a minute without any tools.
Tech Tips:
The SPEC-REST SF platforms (Quad Base or Tripod Base) can be turned into an observation device by using
simple
3/8-1/4 Adapter screws. A Joystick optical mounting device and
spotting scope can be installed making it an ideal optical observation platform
while not in use as a shooting platform. With the LE Model,
the spotter can turn the unused platform (Quad or Tripod Base) into an observation
device in seconds.
Operation ...
The SPEC-REST SF is designed to handle virtually any rifle, from small calibers up to and including
the 50 caliber offerings and anything in-between. Following are several key points to maximize the effectiveness
of this system.
Yoke Adjustments
Every SPEC-REST SF unit is shipped with multiple yokes. There are narrow and wide yokes.
Depending on the stock configuration the gun should have a snug fit into the yokes. Select the two yokes most
appropriate for your rifle and mount them front and rear. An important feature
of these yokes is that they are designed to be bent in or out to provide a
custom fit to your gun. Do not try to clamp it in; just make sure it is snug.
Gun Location
While the front yoke mount is adjustable, for 95% of the applications, the fitted
factory shipped location will work just fine.
There are 4 positions available to mount the rear yoke shaft. Use the one that is most comfortable for you as the shooter.
Locating the gun so that is balanced on the base usually gives the best results.
Coarse Elevation Resistance Adjustment
This adjustment is made using the star knob on the side of the tube connecting the rear of the
SPEC-REST SF arm to the housing that slips over the shaft.
Adjust the star knob to produce a smooth motion while adjusting for your elevation.
Some amount of resistance is necessary to allow the gun to stay on target and to give the
micro-elevation adjuster enough resistance to be effective.
Micro-Elevation Adjustment
The large knurled knob is turned to create your micro-elevation moves on your target.
Turn to the left or the right to move the crosshairs up or down on a distant target.
You can start micro-adjusting as you are finishing your gross move for a seamless transition.
Panning Adjustment
Adjust the amount of resistance that is comfortable for your touch and shooting style by tightening or
loosening the lever on the front of the rotator housing that slips over the shaft.
As you move left and right to locate and track target, it is beneficial to be able to stop and remain on target.
Adjust resistance to provide a steady and smooth motion.
